Teaching:
Having spent the last three years completing my Certificate in Education, I am now qualified to develop curriculum, assess and teach at the post 16, college and university levels.
In the past I have volunteered as a lecturer at the London College of Communication (LCC) on three Creative Media Programmes: Experimental, Narrative, and Professional Practice in Illustration.
For the past two years I have been lecturing on the Access to Art & Design and the Foundation Degree Award (FdA) programmes at the Working Men´s College in Camden, North London. Within the FdA I focus on developing and facilitating modules in Communication Design and Illustration, covering a wide spectrum of Art and Design and its professional practices. The Access to Art & Design programme is designed to give the students an overall experience of the many aspects of art and design such as drawing, mixed media, and digital.
Continuing to practice, as an illustrator and designer while teaching has proved invaluable in assisting me by stimulating my continued artistic development. It also allows the teaching practitioner within me to keep my methodologies, ideas and approaches fresh and within context of the working environment.
